Komatsu Tractors

Komatsu was founded in 1917, building mining tools for its parent company before being separated in 1921. In 1931, Komatsu built the first crawler tractor in Japan. Through a joint venture (KIMCO), Komatsu built tractors for International Harvester in the 1970s and early 1980s. Today, Komatsu is the second-largest construction equipment manufacturer in the world.
